About jolly Mule PRoductions

Together for more than a year, our two-man team of Tyler Shown & Perry Perkins has covered a broad array of content creation in a short period of time. Accomplishments since the founding of Jolly Mule include our first feature film, “Happy Ass”, nominated for Best Feature in the SISFA Film Festival, full production coverage of Iowa music festival, Camp Euforia, and commercial work for companies like GoDaddy, CSU-Pueblo, YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, Comcast and many, many more.

Since August 2018, the Jolly Mule team has filmed countless videos for bands, businesses, and weddings alike, amassing more than 100,000 views online from local, national, and international endeavors. 2020 looks to stretch our reach even further as we continue to pursue a creative lifestyle full of travel, cameras, and people we love. As always, smiles go miles.

Perry graduated from Iowa State University in 2016, where he discovered his passion for Photography. He has been shooting Photography for 4 years and has experience with many areas of media production. His favorite projects include lifestyle portraiture and landscape photography, as well as videography that captures the original spirit of those areas. While every situation or project can vary, his work attempts to infuse both rustic and modern styles while invoking a sense of nostalgia, all with an emphasis on the outdoors and natural lighting. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time on Instagram, a number of outdoor activities and shooting film.

Tyler Shown

Since co-founding Jolly Mule in 2018, Tyler is a self-coined, manic creator. Between organizing community concerts & creative endeavors, speaking at local schools & public events, and acting as an advocate to creative freedom and expression, his camera rarely leaves his side. Tyler’s personal projects currently include an 8-part mini-documentary series highlighting his hometown of Pueblo, CO, documentary short films based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and general Jolly Mule social updates. At 24 countries and counting, his traveling soul remains dedicated to projects worldwide, but love for local creative communities remains untouched.
